Can you believe that back to school is just around the corner? Does it seem like summer gets shorter and shorter? We feel that summer is not nearly long enough but we’re here to help you get ready for the start of the new school year. Here are some of the back to school items we consider to be essentials!
Backpack:
A backpack is must have for everyone from Preschool to College! Choose a sturdy backpack, and we recommend finding one with padded straps. Backpacks come in all different sizes, with a variety of pockets and zippers, and come in an infinite number of styles/designs, so finding one that fits your personality should be fun and easy!
Pens and Pencils:
Can you really have too many pens and pencils? We don’t think so! Younger primary school children may need crayons, colored pencils and markers (look for the WASHABLE ones, you’ll thank yourself later for that!). Middle, high school and college aged students may require highlighters – these come in so many colors other than yellow! They may also need mechanical pencils and erasable pens.
Notebooks:
Notebooks are another essential – from composition books, to wide and college ruled notebooks, to weekly/monthly planners these are key to a successful school year. Like backpacks, these come in a variety of styles, patterns, and designs!
Lunchboxes:
These can come in matching designs with backpacks, or bought separately. Some include their own containers or bento boxes, and reusable ice packs! They can be found with one large compartment, or several compartments to keep chilled items apart from non-chilled items. Other items to consider purchasing: an insulated food storage container to keep hot food warm or chilled items cold, reusable utensils, and reusable containers.
Apparel:
Clothes are probably the most needed after a few months of summer in swimsuits and sandals. New solid colored tees, a few pairs of shorts or jeans, and a pair of new kicks should get you a great head start on back to school apparel. Not to mention our awesome socks!
